I just got the bad news that I have gestational diabetes. The good news, I guess, is that my doctor told me that there is a lot I can do to minimize the effects with things like diet. Admittedly, I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed by the whole thing, but I am seriously committed to having a healthy baby. I know that a lot of other women have lived with gestational diabetes so it’s not the end of the world, right? Where do I find information on what to eat (or not eat) while pregnant? Did you develop a diet plan and stick to it? Or did you just decide what you were going to eat day by day? What can I do to make sure my baby and I both stay healthy? Very grateful in advance for any recommendations to good sites for me.
